I've been slacking on my blog again. Let's see, news:The Claude Cahun exhibit was a mega-disappointment. It turned out it was just a silly slide show without her actual work being displayed. And we couldn't even see the show because there were safety concerns about the electric wires in the garden (where it took place) being dangerous from the rain. I did get a recently published book about her for a discounted price.
Kasey is in town. It's nice to see a Minneapolis friend after six months. He's got a new calm and positive state of being and he's inspired me to focus on my writing as he is very involved in his art. He's staying in New York for three weeks with his art class, and I think I'm going to try to follow them around and go to fun art things.
I've seen a lot of Aimee since she's been back. Loving that. Except every time she sees me I'm more and more unshowered and more and more sleepy. But after my beautiful weekend, I'm fresh and in better shape.
Tompkins Square Park has become my main destination for people-watching, writing, reading, sun-bathing. I was listening to a guy talk about how much the park has changed in the past twenty years. It's nice to get a historical perspective.
Cornelius was being loud the other night and I was trying to hold her down. She pulled away and accidentally scratched my nose. Now I'm gashed across my face. It drew blood. Compresses were involved.
More romance. You know. Good stuff. Feeling happy.

conspiracy: a scarcity of Reed's Ginger Chews in New York. Perhaps a turf war? Is it ridiculous to order ginger chews in bulk? I'm thinking I'll buy 25 packs.
movie: Space is the Place
tonight: going to hear Lydia Davis read.
