Dog days

It's been a long day at Higgins' and the whole gang is pretty worn out. On the plus side, I finally got to watch a marathon of Be Good Johnny Weir episodes. Happy to be home again.

Another Trip Upstate

First a stop at our beloved Sweet Sue's.

After a visit to the vet where little Nukah weighed in at 44.4 pounds, we spent the afternoon with Charlie.

He was delighted to have his little buddy back in town.

We tired ourselves out, watching them wrestle.

Home again to a quiet night with the family.

Major Adulthood Update

Good Old Riva came to town after a year apart. I fell ill for the second time this winter, but we dragged ourselves to the neighborhood pub, Boulevard Tavern, which happens to be almost overly dog-friendly. Nukah didn't want to go home. When we left, the owner/bartender yelled after Nukah, "Goodbye, new assistant!" Hopefully this won't require an intervention.

And Major Adulthood Update: Joseph and I are officially couch owners. We have experienced the non-creepy, seemingly straightforward side of craigslist. And somehow this isn't too good to be true.

Up to my knees, loving it

Beautiful blizzard

The park is magical and quiet, except for the temperamental wind.

Nobody is around.

No interest in going inside, a perfect morning in Brooklyn.

First big snow

Nukah loves blizzard weather. He's full of energy and would run forever if I didn't get cold and make him come inside. Everyone's talking about precipitation; there's all sorts of estimates being bounced around. I was out all morning, but the evening will be spent under the comfort of my comforter if Nukah lets me have my way.

A visit during quarantine

Veronica stopped by for brunch during dog-sitting weekend. The dogs took advantage of a fresh warm lap.

Joe and I managed to watch about 16 hours of television while we stayed at Jim and Kerry's. It might be one of our records together. We like to think of ourselves as a sort of power couple, even if it's just for our amazing attention span for television.

Make our own fun

After a you-had-to-be-there-and-like-dogs-to-get-how-great-it-was morning at Prospect Park during off-leash hours with Jim and Kerry, Joe and I decided to give ourselves a Manhattan adventure.

Last night, each of us wrote five instructional activities on index cards for our adventure. Then we combined the cards without reading the other person's steps. Based on a complex mathematical equation determined by the number of people using laptop computers at our coffee shop, we started our endeavor two subway stops into Manhattan. Here's documentation of our super-fun time:
