At one of Riva's workplaces, the Museum of Science, I learned that not everyone grows up in a shopping mall. First time adult Dippin' Dots encounters can be so precarious. Luckily, this time was a success.

I'm enjoying
Pastoralia by George Saunders, but sometimes the metaphors cast a shadow over my brain and I lose track of the bigger picture.
Joseph and I watched
Bridge to Terabithia on the bus. Disney is capable of (and follows through with) ruining everything.
I taught my English short story class
The Swimmer by Cheever today, and my favorite student said the main character was retarded. I keep trying to get her to articulate herself without her single-word vocabulary. So far, no luck.
It's good to be home.
